Statement of Faith
1. The Scriptures. The 1611 King James Bible is God’s preserved, infallible, and final authority for faith and practice (Ps. 12:6-7; 2 Tim. 3:16-17); every doctrine is judged by its plain teaching.
2. The Godhead. One God exists eternally in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - co-equal in power and glory (Mt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14).
3. The Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm His full deity, virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, present intercession, and imminent pre-tribulational, pre-millennial return (Jn. 1:1; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 1 Thess. 4:13-18).
4. The Holy Spirit. He convicts the lost, regenerates believers, indwells, seals, and empowers the Christian to live a separated, victorious life (Jn. 16:8; Eph. 1:13-14; Gal. 5:16-25).
5. Creation, Man, and Sin. God created the universe in six literal days. He formed a historical Adam and Eve whose disobedience introduced sin and death to all mankind (Gen. 1-2; Rom. 5:12). Each person is born with a fallen nature in need of redemption, and God assigns gender as male or female - immutable and sacred (Gen. 1:27).
6. Angels and Satan. Holy angels serve God, while Satan and his fallen host oppose Him. The Devil is a real, personal being already condemned to eternal judgment (Isa. 14:12-15; Rev. 20:10).
7. Salvation. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, wholly apart from works. All who believe are justified, adopted, and eternally secure (Eph. 2:8-9; Jn. 10:28-29).
8. The Local Church. A New Testament church is a local, visible assembly of baptized believers, autonomous and self-governing. It was empowered on Pentecost and is God’s sole institution to carry out His work today. Its two ordinances are believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as a memorial (Ac. 2:41-47; 1 Cor. 11:23-28). The only biblical offices are pastor (bishop) and deacon (1 Tim. 3). Revelatory sign-gifts (tongues, prophecy, miracles) ceased with the completion of Scripture (1 Cor. 13:8-10).
9. Soul-Winning and Missions. The Great Commission is binding on every believer and every church: evangelize the lost, baptize converts, and teach them to follow Christ (Mt. 28:19-20; Ac. 1:8).
10. Separation and Holiness. We practice personal and ecclesiastical separation from worldly practices, false doctrine, and cooperative ministries that compromise biblical truth (Rom. 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 6:14-18).
11. Marriage and Family. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Human life is sacred from conception (Gen. 2:18-24; Ps. 139:13-16).
12. Civil Government. Civil authorities are ordained by God and must be obeyed except when they demand disobedience to Christ - invoked only in clear, scriptural conflict (Rom. 13:1-7; Ac. 5:29).
13. Last Things. We expect the imminent, pre-tribulational rapture of believers, followed by the tribulation, Christ’s literal premillennial return and millennial reign, the bodily resurrection of the saved unto everlasting life, and of the lost unto conscious, everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. One day, God will create a new heaven and a new earth (Jn. 5:28-29; Rev. 20 - 22).
