We’re Josh and Kailley Sells, and God has blessed us with seven children. We live in northeast Ohio, where Kailley homeschools our children and we serve together through our local church. Our home is busy, loud, imperfect, and full of the everyday work of trying to raise children who do more than simply inherit Mom and Dad’s convictions. More than anything, we want them to know God for themselves—to open the Bible, search the Scriptures, understand the biblical why, and build a faith that is truly their own.

That burden grew out of what God first did in Josh’s life. He grew up in a Baptist church and made a profession of faith, but never had real peace about his salvation. For years, his heart was captivated by worldly success. He worked for two Big Four consulting firms, went to law school, served large companies, and eventually built a national tax law practice. From the outside, it looked successful. Inside, nothing was ever enough. In 2018, Josh stopped resting in a profession he had made years earlier and trusted Jesus Christ alone as his Saviour. A few years later, God burdened him to begin studying His Word early, daily, independently, and with a submitted heart. The Bible did not merely change what he believed—it changed him. His desires changed. His marriage changed. His home changed. The things of this world began to lose their hold.

Legacy Builders Press grew out of that transformation and out of the burden at our own kitchen table. We want our children—and the next generation growing up in our churches—to possess a living, Bible-rooted faith rather than simply borrowing one from the generation before them. Our desire is to help ordinary believers search the Scriptures for themselves, understand why they believe what they believe, and put truth into practice in the home, the church, and everyday life.

Today, Legacy Builders Press comes alongside local churches through preaching, teaching, conferences, Bible study workshops, books, and practical resources. We are sent out of Community Baptist Temple in Akron, Ohio, and we serve under the leadership of the local church. Our goal is not to build a platform around ourselves, but to strengthen pastors, families, and churches with Scripture-first resources that can keep working long after a meeting is over.

That is where our burden begins: at home, around our own table, with the prayer that the generation to come might know.
